Thursday

have not had a chance to post about thursdays game against spring lake. obviously didnt go so well since i didnt make time to post. we lost 8-0. the game ended 7 minutes early because they changed the mercy rule this year from 10 goal margin to 8. their team speed killed us. it was liek we were stuck in molasses. frustrating.

fremont on tuesday then probably fruitport on thursday in the conference tournament. both games could be ugly if we dont play our best. even then its an uphill battle.

No Crossover

so our game play from friday did not continue as we lost to ludington 4-0.

uninspired play about sums it up. we were down 1-0 from about midway through the first half until about 20 minutes to go in the second.

practice will not be fun tomorrow, hopefully that spurs a little inspiration for the spring lake game. if not, it will be very ugly.

Disappointing

we have had two games since our disaster against fruiport. we won thursday against grant. this game was very frustrating for me because we did not play well at all. the score was 5-1 which sounds good but in reality our play was subpar.

friday was equally frustrating for different reasons. we lost to northpointe christian 2-0. very disappointing because the game was called three minutes into the second half because of bad weather but also because we were the better team. we had more possession, better control, and were the stronger team. all they did was look for through balls thier fast forwards could run onto. one bad bounce and one defensive error cost us for the two goals. on the other end we didnt get the bounces to go our way.

i guess the only silver lining was that this was the best the team had played all year and we were missing two important starters.

hopefully it will carry on to the end of the season. ludington and spring lake this week, then fremont and the conference tournament next week. not going to be easy.

4-4-1 overall and 2-2 in conference.

Frustration

we lost tonight to fruitport 8-1. yes that is an ugly score but no sure it really was an 8-1 game. more like an 4-1 or 5-1 game.

more to the point is that we played really bad. its not that they were that much better than us was an 8-1 score would indicate but more we did not play defense at all. it was like watching the team chase fruitport. why......

million dollar question is how to get them to change.....................

Game Report

we beat shelby 2-0. good win. we left it a bit late but played well for most of the game. lost our dominance at certain times in both halves but pulled out the win.

We Lost

so im trying to post more but after soccer practice im am usually tired and not really in the mood to post.

we had a game tonight against tri-county. we lost. 1-0. we dominated the other team but didnt put away our chances in the first half and gave them the opportunity to get back in the game with a weak goal. they were not a bad team but we were the better team.

season record is 3-2-1.

shelby on thursday, we better win.

goodbye andre

sunday was a sad day as the career of tennis great andre agassi ended. even with a bad back he was almost able to beat the 112th ranked player he lost to. it was kind bitter sweet watching the match knowing it was going to be his last.

i started watching tennis with my dad when i was growing up. andre soon became my favorite player to watch. i have always enjoyed watching him play and will miss being able to look forward to see him work his magic.......he was one of the best ever to play the game.
