Why Evolution 'Scientist' really get me going.

is to an article about everything that is wrong with science. evolutionary scientist are so scared by the intelligent design movement they will go to any lenghts to banish anyone that has some semblence of imparitality. they try to hide behind the guise of 'good science', but what they are truly promoting is not even close to low-end science. why do evolutionary scientist resort to bullying(sp?) and intimidation when faced with someone who tries to give an impartial voice to intelligent design?

they have no answers.

its that simple. evolutionary scientist (ES) do not have a good rebutle for the critique the intelligent design movement has put forth. they know they do not have a scientific foundation to build a defense of the darwinian theory of evolution, so they try to build it out of thin air by calling people names and dismissing them as ignorant, crazy, or stupid. obviously they dont come right out and say that, they are usually far more mean spirited about it.

its funny, and sad, to hear the ES try to say intelligent design does not stand because there is no peer reviewed research when they know full well what happens to someone that gives a voice to the ID movement. they are treated like a leper and banished forever to the basement of science never to be heard from again.

so my friend had this video up at his blog. it is not all that interesting and somewhat a waste of time. but i am oddly captivated and feel a compulsion to watching it. i visited later and watched it again and have been tempted to watch it more.

Goals

i think i am going to set a few more goals this year. along with my 40 books, i plan to blog more and run regularly. the running will depend on the weather right now. it has to be atleast 40 degrees out. too out of shape to run when it is cold. the blogging will hopefully work out. i have been meaning to write more but have been procrastinating alot lately.

last week when it was warmer i ran three days in a row. i ran pretty slow but one of the days i actually ran two miles. the other days it was only a mile. i figure i have to start somewhere. by may, i plan to have it up to like three miles. my plan is to run/exercise five to six days a week. i will be working with the soccer team this summer with conditioning/fun exercises. not sure if i am going to run on top of the conditioning stuff but who knows maybe ill go crazy.

last week i also made my first homemade meal. it was actual cooking. lots of ingredients, simmering, multiple steps, cookbook and it actually worked out. not the best meal i have ever had but tastey non the less. most of my 'cooking' thus far has been easy cooking. not many steps nor too complicated. i figured since i have a cookbook now i should branch out and try more complicated dishes. i think my next experiment will be crab topped fish fillets. sounds good but may be more difficult than my first entree.

not sure what quote will be tomorrow but two funny ones are up for consideration.....

My Goal

this year i have decided to have a goal of reading 40 books. yes that is right, i am going to try to read 40 real books before '07 is at an end. right now i have read one and a half. so i am making great progress. hopefully things will speed up over the summer. i have a semi large collection of intelligent design books that have been slowly piling up so this should shrink the pile to nothing in short order.
